One hidden gem that is often over looked is Pudsey Masonic Hall. Although situated within the heart of Pudsey, many local residents are acutely unaware of the hall or indeed its long-standing history. The Masonic Hall, dates back to the 1930s, when the first of the four local lodges established itself on Church Lane, it has a very plain grey exterior, often unseen as you walk up towards the Park.
However this exterior hides a wealth of rich detail within. This attractive 1930 stained glass windows are a typical example… and members of the Lodge of Benevolence No 5613 are delighted to call it their home.
Although Pudsey Masonic Hall is used extensively by 4 Masonic Lodges, the Hall has a number of ideal rooms that are the perfect setting for Weddings, dinners, conferences, birthday parties and/or social events. It has a dining capacity of up to 100 and a professional catering facility perfect for all occasions.
Work since 1717 with pride
The first grand lodge, established to govern Freemasonry in England and Wales, was formed in 1717, during a meeting at a pub in the City of London called the Goose and Gridiron. At that time there were four lodges in the city
Integrity, Friendship, Respect and Charity.
For Freemasons, there are four important values that help define their path through life: Integrity, Friendship, Respect and Charity. In today’s world filled with uncertainty, these principles ring as true as they have at any point in the organisation’s history.
