Lodge of Benevolence 5612

Historically, freemasonry was about Architecture, Building, Geometry and everything connected with the built environment. This is where it got part of its title “masonry”. Today we maintain the same connections but include all levels of society and all sectors of commerce and industry. We have a full mix of ages and backgrounds coming together to share experience, strengths and abilities. Old and young benefit from mixing with each other and develop a better understanding of each others thinking.

The old principles still apply to the expected conduct of Freemasons and the requirements of respect and thought for others in everything you do. How many times have you come across people who you think are friends but when it comes to the critical stage they think only of themselves. Many freemasons say that when they joined they didn’t realise there were still people who think of others first and themselves last. Whose primary function is to help others either directly or indirectly. Who want to show support for local community organisations and who look outwards rather than inwards.

What is Freemasonry...

Pudsey Masonic Hall

Pudsey Masonic Hall is a hidden gem that often goes unnoticed by the general public. Although situated within the heart of Pudsey, many local residents are acutely unaware of the hall or indeed its long-standing history.
